In the real world, there are many things that can be done remotely to improve productivity. Among them, we are working on remote ultrasonography in medicine and remote stamping and signing in telework. However, the problem is that the remote operation requires specialized qualifications and involves confidential information, making it difficult to perform the work remotely, which is an obstacle to remote operation.

　To address this problem, remote work support technologies, such as general-purpose work robots and the employment of substitute workers, have been used in the past. However, it is challenging to realize work robots that can perform the aforementioned tasks from a cost reduction and complex working environment standpoint, so workers are forced to hire substitute workers. The problems that substitute workers face in their work include the risk of acquiring confidential information that they are not allowed to obtain and the availability of specialized skills. Therefore, work support using remote action guidance technology based on the technology of telexistence has been attracting attention recently.

　Remote action guidance technology is a technology that uses telexistence and augmented reality (AR) technology. Telexistence is a technology that allows workers to work remotely while maintaining a sensation similar to on-site work. By superimposing the work image of a remote expert on the work image at the site and displaying a working example, it is possible to realize the expert's skills at the site. In this research, we are studying remote work support technology based on AR/MR technology to enable various remote tasks.
